Understanding umprovoked aggresion
The state of feeling ‘Safe In Your Space’ means for all of the parts that make up you.
That’s your body, mind and spirit. First things first though...
To Be Safe In Your Space it’s critical that YOU decide to NEVER be a ‘troublemaker’ yourself and that you always approach others in a ‘spirit of friendship’. Other people’s outbursts originate from their insecurities and not from you. A temper outburst is a theatrical trick by a troublemaker to draw a submissive response from you.
Aggressive people are often motivated to be nasty by “I’m feeling upset, frustrated or ignored and by upsetting you I’m at least getting some of my own back at the world!” If you are ever faced with an aggressive or bombastic person any signs of fear we show them gives them feelings of power & satisfaction.
When bullies are emotional, angry or drunk, they often want as much of this power as they can get. A tip when faced with unprovoked aggression is being able to mask you’re your external signs of fear, despite what you may be feeling on the inside.
